🏡 Born in the Czech Republic, Jakub grew up in a small village called Zlutava, known for its rich history, natural surroundings and homemade slivovitz – well, we’ll let him tell you more about this 😉

His passion for sports and movement was evident early on, leading him to pursue Physical Education as his primary field of study.

💡 Even while training as a full-time gymnast in CZ, Jakub was already leading gymnastics camps and sports activities, eager to share his expertise and passion with others.

In 2018, Coach Jakub arrived in Mauritius, taking on the role of Head Coach for Artistic Gymnastics at a local sports and dance club.

💡 But Jakub isn’t one to settle.
A few months later, in the midst of COVID, he took a bold leap of faith—starting Gymac from scratch.

🏅 Fast forward 5 years, and Gymac is no longer just a name.
It has become:
✅ A home where gymnasts feel like family
✅ A premier training centre with a reputation for excellence
✅ A safe space where athletes thrive and push their limits!

Driven by a vision to take Mauritian gymnastics to the next level, Coach Jakub is actively working to set new standards for local gymnasts on the international stage. In 2024, his efforts paid off when Mauritius secured 8th place at the African Gymnastics Competition in Morocco—a groundbreaking achievement!

But this is just the beginning. His ultimate goal?
