Aurélie

Aerial Silk Coach

Biography:

I started aerial silks in 2015 at Baraka Cirq in Mauritius and it quickly became a real passion. Sports has always been a strong side interest, a natural tendency I drifted towards. In my college years, I was competing in athletics, then I jumped into yoga and finally found aerial silks later on. This discipline taught me strength, grace and courage and this is what I am teaching my students at Gymac. Aerial silks is traditionally a circus discipline practiced on a long fabric, usually hanging a minimum of 3-4 meters high to 8-10 meters. It aims to build a solid upper body strength and full body flexibility but also coordination and dance skills. And lastly, through show performance it helps to develop a great dose of self confidence in front of a public.
