🤸 Yash – A Passion for Gymnastics and Coaching
🏊♂️ Born in Mauritius, Yash, 19, began his athletic journey as a professional swimmer, training for eight years. His dedication led him to major achievements, including winning the Jeux du Nord championship and securing gold medals at various swimming galas.
🤹♂ After years in the pool, a random gymnastics class at a local gym changed everything. Yash was instantly drawn to the sport and began training seriously for two years. His hard work paid off as he won gold medals at local gymnastics championships and later placed second all-around in Thailand. Returning to Mauritius, he continued his success, winning four more gold medals in national competitions.
🏅 In 2022, while competing at Gymac, he discovered a place that felt like home. The energy, training level, and team spirit immediately resonated with him. By 2023, he officially joined Gymac as a senior-level gymnastics coach, working with athletes from ages 7 to adults. In 2024, he proudly represented Mauritius in the African Championships, in Morocco, securing 7th place—an important milestone in his career.

📚 For Yash, coaching isn’t just about teaching—it’s a continuous learning journey. Working with young gymnasts helps him grow daily, develop new skills, and push his own limits. His disciplined yet fun and motivating approach makes him a role model for his students, many of whom have expressed their desire to follow in his footsteps.
🧘♂ With a calm and composed attitude, he builds strong connections with his athletes, guiding them through challenges and victories. Seeing them win competitions is a personal achievement, but beyond that, he takes pride in preparing them for international stages and helping them overcome obstacles in training.
🎯 Future Aspirations
🌍 Yash dreams of representing Gymac on an international level, bringing home lifelong memories and medals. He aims to continue learning from top coaches, staying up to date with evolving gymnastics techniques, and growing alongside the sport.
🏋 At Gymac, he trains in an environment equipped with Olympic-level training gear, alongside talented gymnasts and Head Coach Jakub. Gymac is not just a gymnastics school—it offers unique programs such as breakdancing, cheerleading, parent-tot gymnastics, special needs training, and one-on-one sessions, making it one of a kind in Mauritius.
🌊 Beyond Gymnastics 🐠 When Yash needs to clear his mind, he turns to an unusual therapy—his fish. Watching them swim brings him peace, especially after a tough competition.
🤿 If he weren’t a gymnast, he could see himself as either a professional scuba diver or a farmer, both paths that allow him to connect with nature.
